Tarplan's story began thirty years ago, with our desire to offer people delicious mayonnaise. Over the years, we have developed a range of products for regular consumers as well as professional kitchens. Today, Tarplan's product range includes eight different mayonnaise products, from which every consumer can find a product to their liking. At Tarplan, we aim to make the best mayonnaise, salad dressing and sauces that will delight people in their everyday life as well as on special occasions.

High quality is Tarplan's top priority. We use carefully selected ingredients in every product and adhere to the highest production standards to ensure product excellence and safety. We use Estonian rapeseed oil in all Tarplan products.

Sustainability

We use technologies that reduce energy use and waste. Additionally, we closely track our raw material supply chain to ensure that all ingredients come from reliable sources and adhere to the highest quality standards. We use recyclable packaging – the bottles, plastic containers and caps are made of mono-material that can be easily recycled.

Products

Three decades filled with memories

1994 – the year Tarplan was founded. In the beginning, the production company based 100% on Estonian capital operated in Lasnamäe. Its first product was the mayonnaise Provansaal. To this day, Tarplan's main product is Provansaal Mayonnaise and it is still made following the original recipe.

1999 – As production volumes increased, larger premises were needed and in 1999, Tarplan moved its production, laboratory and office to Tabasalu. Today, the company also owns another renovated building that houses a warehouse and office.

2000 – The year 2000 symbolises the year of the light mayonnaise in Tarplan's history, with the launch of the brand new Lahe Laua Mayonnaise alongside Provansaal Mayonnaise. Compared to Provansaal, the new mayonnaise has a much lower fat content (36%), making the product lighter and lower in calories. Lahe Laua was awarded the Approved Estonian Taste Quality Label in 2001.

2004 – Revolution in the Estonian mayonnaise landscape. As an interesting fact, Tarplan, in cooperation with Greiner Packaging, was the first company in Estonia to sell mayonnaise in an upside-down bottle in 2004. The new bottle was much more consumer-friendly, allowing more product to be squeezed out compared to the bottles used previously. The product maintains its high quality for longer in an upside-down bottle, as the remaining mayonnaise presses against the cap preventing air getting into the bottle.

2014 - Tarplan mayonnaises was launched in a brand new packaging. The complete Tarplan product line is now presented in consistent colors: yellow, green, and black.

2024 - Tarplan celebrates its 30th anniversary. As part of our anniversary year, our all-time hit product Provansaal in the 900g bottle was given an anniversary label. Moreover, discerning mayonnaise lovers will notice that the position of the cap has changed from the right to the left side on the doy-pack product line.
